Big City Visit

I just spent the weekend in Anchorage doing some Christmas shopping and picking up some of my siblings.  The weather was great and so was the company.

Great Conversation

Yesterday I did some babysitting during a Christmas party.  Here are some of the topic that were discussed by the kids.  I just sat back, made sure nobody used markers on the couch, and attempted a straight face.

• Skirts v. pants.  Which are better?
• What would life be like without gravity?
• Clowns: funny or creepy?
• Can you be a bird when you grow up?

No offense to the adults, but these were probably some of the most interesting conversation I witnessed that  night.

Victory!

I have officially completed NaBloPoMo.  Many notable events have occurred since I started along this journey.  Here are some highlights.

• I deboned a turkey.
• Sarah Palin appeared on Oprah and began her book tour.  No comment.
• Tiger Woods got himself into a pickle.
• Snow arrived.
• I got cable and DVR.
• The White House State Dinner was crashed by reality TV wannabes.  Again, no comment.
• President visited Alaska.  He was greeted with a warm welcome.  Pun intended.
• Vampire romance made it back onto the big screen.
• I made it to my 50th blog post.
